CPAC RapidHeat™ Dry Heat Sterilizers

CPAC Equipment Inc. makes RapidHeat™ sterilizers, a faster, waterless and chemical-free alternative to steam autoclaves for medical, dental, veterinary and spa instruments. The technology grew out of early NASA research into effective, non-destructive decontamination for spacecraft. Dental and healthcare practices have now relied on it for more than 25 years.

RapidHeat units use a proprietary High-Velocity Hot Air (HVHA) process. Heated air circulates through a sealed chamber at 200–300 air exchanges per minute, so heat reaches the entire load evenly. Wrapped or unwrapped instruments can be processed in about 14–21 minutes total, according to CPAC. Newer RH-Pro models also offer low-temperature cycles for heat-sensitive items, alongside the traditional 375°F cycle.

RapidHeat technology is FDA-cleared, and CPAC is an FDA-registered facility. The RH-Pro11 won a 2021 Dental Advisor Top Award in the sterilizer category.
