30min Biological Indicator for Hydrogen Peroxide (FDA)
Rapid Fluorescence
Product code: BI-BH202-30
Mfr: BT96
An optional visual pH color change confirmation could be performed after 48 hours of incubation. If sterilization process has not been successful, culture medium will change to yellow during incubation at 60 ºC, thus showing the presence of living spores. If sterilization process is successful culture medium will remain purple after the incubation process.
Features:
-
Geobacillus stearothermophilus Spores:
- Bionova Super Rapid Self-contained H2O2 Biological Indicator contains 106 viable Geobacillus stearothermophilus bacterial spores, crucial for monitoring vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes.
-
Super Rapid Readout:
- Achieves a rapid readout in just 30 minutes at 60 °C, providing quick and efficient results.
-
Bionova® Auto-Reader Incubators:
- Super Rapid Readout must be conducted in these specialized incubators, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
-
Fluorescence Technology:
- The reader stimulates spore carriers with UV light, emitting fluorescence for indirect viability assessment after 30 minutes, detecting positive results.
-
Visual Confirmation:
- Optionally offers a 48-hour visual color-change confirmation, with yellow indicating sterilization failure and purple confirming success.
- 7-Day Readout: Optional for initial validation, comparing fluorescence results to visual readouts over a 7-day period.
-
Storage and Shelf Life:
- Store in a dark place at 10-30 °C, 30-80% relative humidity.
- Shelf life of 2 years from the manufacture date. Endpoint Stability Reaction ensures chemical indicator stability for at least 6 months.
- Super Rapid Readout:
- Achieves a rapid readout in just 30 minutes at 60 °C, providing quick and efficient results.
- Fluorescence Detection:
- Excitation 340-380 nm / emission 455-465 nm. Lack of fluorescence after 30 minutes indicates sterilization success; positive fluorescence means sterilization failure.
- Positive Control:
- A positive control must yield positive fluorescence readout, and it is recommended to incubate it for visual color change.
- Visual Confirmation (Optional):
- After 48 hours, a visual pH color change can be performed. Yellow indicates sterilization failure, while purple confirms success.
- 7-Day Readout (Optional):
- An initial validation of the 30-minute reading. Fluorescence results may be compared to the 7-day visual reading.
- Incubation Conditions:
- If the 7-day readout is performed, a humidified environment is necessary to prevent medium drying out. The holding time between sterilization and incubation should not exceed 7 days.
Instructions for Use:
2. Pack the Biological Indicator along with materials to be sterilized in an appropriate package according to recommended sterilization practices. Place the package in those areas which are considered most inaccessible for the sterilizing agent
3. Sterilize as usual.
4. After the sterilization process has finished, open the sterilizer door, wait five minutes and remove the Biological Indicators from the package.
Precautions WARNING:
Do not use Biological Indicator to control EO, Dry Heat, Formaldehyde or other sterilization processes different from the specified.
Do not reuse Biological Indicator
WARNING:
Place one or more Biological Indicator in sterilizing hard-to-reach areas to ensure all areas of the chamber are sterilized.
Please evaluate all load configurations to ensure ALL hard-to-reach areas have been identified, and place a Biological Indicator in each of those locations.
Do not reuse the sterilizer until the Biological Indicator test result is negative.

How do I look up disinfectant on List N?
How do I look up disinfectant on List N?
First, find the product registration number. This can be found on the product label or safety data sheet. Duraline posts most registrations in the Product Description field of the product page in our website. Second, go to the epa.gov website: https://cfpub.epa.gov/giwiz/disinfectants/index.c... and enter the first 2 parts of the registration number and click enter.
My product has 3 parts on the registration number and I can't find all 3 on the approved website for List N. Why?
My product has 3 parts on the registration number and I can't find all 3 on the approved website for List N. Why?
The first 2 parts of the EPA Registration Number are the primary numbers and represent the primary registration. Since different companies sell products with the same chemical composition and efficiency, only 1 brand or product name receives the primary number. The third part represents the distributor of the primary registration and is still on List N and is proven effective against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
I can't find Swovo disinfectant wipes on List N. Where is it?
I can't find Swovo disinfectant wipes on List N. Where is it?
The EPA Registration number for Swovo is 59894-10-98425
To find this on the epa.gov website, you only need to enter the first 2 parts of this number, "59894-10"
This primary registration number is on the list, and so it is approved! See screenshot below.
