Maintaining the VistaPure system requires periodic water-quality checks using the provided TDS meters and filter replacement when indicated.
All VistaPure filters are made from quality materials for maximum service life.
Each filter is sold individually.
- Perform monthly water-quality checks using the TDS meters.
- Position 1: Pre-Filter: Replace annually. Replace more frequently in areas with high sediment levels.
- Positions 2 and 3: Deionization Filters: Expected service life ranges from four months to three years. Replace when the TDS meter reads 4 ppm or higher.
- Position 4: Hyperfiltration Element: Replace every three to five years or when the TDS meter in the “IN” position reads more than 10% of the municipal water-supply TDS.
- Position 5: Polishing Filter: Replace at least annually.
- Use manufacturer-specified filters for optimal system performance and support.
Q What does the pre-filter do?
A. The pre-filter removes chlorine and particulate matter from the source water, protecting the hyperfiltration element from damage and fouling.
Q How often should the pre-filter be replaced?
A. The pre-filter should be replaced at least once per year. In areas with high sediment or debris, more frequent changes may be necessary.
Q What is the function of the hyperfiltration element?
A The hyperfiltration element removes the majority of total dissolved solids (TDS) from the water while leaving a small amount to prevent corrosion in dental equipment.
Q How long does the hyperfiltration element last?
A The hyperfiltration element typically lasts 3-5 years, depending on the volume of usage, water quality, and pressure conditions.
Q What do the deionization filters do?
A The deionization filters further purify the water by removing the remaining TDS, producing distilled quality water suitable for autoclaves and sensitive dental equipment.
Q When should the deionization filters be replaced?
A The deionization filters should be replaced every 4 months to 3 years, depending on usage and water quality. Replacement is needed when the system-mounted TDS meter shows ≥ 4 parts per million (ppm) of TDS.
Q What is the role of the polishing filter?
A The polishing filter enhances the final water quality by providing additional filtration.
Q How often should the polishing filter be replaced?
A The polishing filter should be replaced annually.
Q How can I monitor the quality of the water produced by the system?
A Water quality should be checked monthly using the provided TDS meters. Ensure water is running through the system when taking measurements for accurate results.
Q Why is it important to use manufacturer-specified filters?
A Using manufacturer-specified filters ensures optimal performance of the system and maintains the ability to provide customer service and warranty support.
Q What should I do if the TDS meter shows high readings?
A If the system-mounted TDS meter shows readings equal to or greater than 4 ppm for the deionization filters, or exceeds 10% of the TDS of the municipal water supply for the hyperfiltration element, it is time to replace the respective filters.
Q Why is it important to use manufacturer-specified filters?
A Using manufacturer-specified filters ensures optimal performance of the system and maintains the ability to provide customer service and warranty support.

How do I look up disinfectant on List N?
First, find the product registration number. This can be found on the product label or safety data sheet. Duraline posts most registrations in the Product Description field of the product page in our website. Second, go to the epa.gov website: https://cfpub.epa.gov/giwiz/disinfectants/index.c... and enter the first 2 parts of the registration number and click enter.
My product has 3 parts on the registration number and I can't find all 3 on the approved website for List N. Why?
My product has 3 parts on the registration number and I can't find all 3 on the approved website for List N. Why?
The first 2 parts of the EPA Registration Number are the primary numbers and represent the primary registration. Since different companies sell products with the same chemical composition and efficiency, only 1 brand or product name receives the primary number. The third part represents the distributor of the primary registration and is still on List N and is proven effective against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
