The battery is sealed inside the unit so it will not disconnect or bump off while operating.
Our filter media removes up to 99.97% of particulates down to 0.12 microns.
Filter safety - the filter door cannot mount to the unit unless a filter is fixed in place.
LED user interface indicates airflow, fan speed and battery level.
Alarming - visual and audible alarms alert the user to low battery level, or when airflow falls below the minimum requirements due to the filter needing replacing, or an obstructed airflow.

Q. What is the difference between the HX5 and PX5 PAPR?
A. The HX5 was designed specifically for Healthcare workers to be cheaper, lightweight and easier to use. The HX5 is more affordable and only has a fixed, single span speed while the PX5 has 3 fan speeds (required for industrial use). See the comparison chart here.

Q. Will I still be protected if I have facial hair?
A. Yes, loose fitting respirators do not require fit testing and can accommodate for facial hair.

Q. What is the assigned protection factor?
A. APF of greater than 1000.

Q. How often do you change the filters?

A. PAPR filters typically will not become clogged with particles used to reduce aerosols that contain viruses. Filter changes will not be required due to reduced airflow. Refer to the PAPR Cleaning & Disinfecting Instructions.

A. This is the lens that comes with the kit â€“ it is anti-fog/anti-scratch. If you are looking for â€œpeel offâ€ or "tear off" lenses for the Z-Link, you can purchase a pack of 50 as an accessory.
