Andersen EOGas AN333 high-capacity free-standing ethylene oxide sterilizer and extractor unit with multiple-load capable sterilizing cabinet

Andersen EOGas 3 Series Sterilizers combine the proven reliability of ethylene oxide with a unique delivery system that uses less than 11cc of gas per cycle - almost 90% less gas than our closest competition. EOGas is the most delicate sterilization system on the market and will not damage delicate items such as electronics, fiber- optics, endoscopes, cameras, or laptop computers. Ideal for long lumens, heat-sensitive materials, and plastics. Bag and cartridge size can be customized to your product. Fully validatable - for medical device manufacturing.

Features:
  • Our multi-load EOGas system adds and removes bags at any time while other bags are processing.
  • Gas diffusion eliminates "dead space" around loads by delivering Ethylene Oxide directly to the load.
  • No harsh preconditioning is required, treating sensitive products gently and effectively. Conventional systems fill the entire chamber with EO, possibly overdosing product to compensate for "dead space" around loads. Forced pre-conditioning in a deep vacuum under high humidity may damage sensitive products.
  • Available AN5200 Abator - Scrub your emissions 99% free of ethylene oxide gas

The high throughput capacity of the Series 3 multi-load sterilizers means it is used principally in hospitals and by medical devices manufacturer. They find that the Series 3 reduces equipment turnaround time and saves cost compared to sending out to a contractor.

Hospitals enjoy the multi-load flexibility and they also extend the life of the equipment that had previously been damaged by other sterilization technologies.

Medical device manufacturers make use of custom validation to run precisely the right conditions for their products. Typically they manufacture high-value, low-volume items such as sutures, intra-ocular lenses and brachytherapy strings.

About EtO Micro-dose Sterilization
Unique Gas Diffusion Technology: The EOGas® Series 3 Plus sterilizer utilizes 100% ethylene oxide gas (EtO) diffusion technology developed by Andersen Products. This unique process introduces gas directly into a polyethylene film bag containing the load. It eliminates stratification, which is a common problem with industrial vessels. Since gas diffusion employs a low vacuum, low temperature and low humidity, it is the gentlest sterilization method available, and suitable for most delicate devices.

Dose-Specific Gas Usage: Our system matches the unit dose of EtO to the load size to ensure parameters for sterilization are met without using excess gas. Flexible gas diffusion technology allows ethylene oxide use based not on the chamber size, but on the actual volume of the items being sterilized, making it ideal for small lots. No other gas sterilization system allows for such efficient processing.

Temperature Control: EOGas sterilizers maintain a controlled environment at 50oC. Through many years of research, we have determined that this is the optimum temperature to maximize both the speed and effectiveness of the sterilization cycle, while minimizing possible product damage. Please note that the EOGas overall sterilization cycle includes aeration, unlike our competitors.

Less Gas Consumption: EOGas sterilizers utilize unit dosed gas cartridges containing 100% ethylene oxide. This allows matching the gas dosage to the load size rather than the chamber size. The result is a system that uses over 80% less gas than the competition.

Shorter Cycle Time: The standard cycle time of an EOGas sterilization system is around 16 hours, including aeration. Additionally, there is the added convenience of having sterilization and aeration take place in the same cabinet. Critical items that readily absorb ethylene oxide may require additional aeration, which may be performed inside the EOGas sterilizer chamber.
